I learned about Schweitzer Formula in the summer of 2004. At that point in my life I had been in the nutrition, natural health and wellness field for about 17 years. I was a student of the field and was very informed about nutrition and natural healing. I had gone through a Bachelor of Natural Healing program, completed a Masters of Integrative Medicine program, and was operating a large hybrid Nutrition & Holistic Health Counseling center. I was in the business of being deeply informed on all the products in the industry. Because of this, I was shocked that Schweitzer Formula was not on my radar at all to that point.
I was fascinated by the history and the technical details about this unique product, at the time called Schweitzer Fluid. But it wasn't until I experienced it for myself in several situations that I became completely convinced of its special ability to heal in ways that I had not encountered before.
The sunburn that saved a vacation
The first encounter was during a beach vacation in 2005, when my wife and I arrived at the beach to meet up with our extended family. We went straight out to the beach and spent many hours in the hot sun in North Carolina. In spite of using sunscreen, we arrived back at the house with severe sunburn. We were convinced we had ruined our vacation and would be in pain most of the week.
It was at that moment that I recalled I had packed a bottle of Schweitzer Formula before leaving. We quickly pulled the bottle out and sprayed it abundantly on the sunburned areas several times before going to bed. To our utter amazement, the next morning we awakened to a nice tan, no red skin, and most importantly, no pain. Our vacation was saved, and we continued to apply the formula during the rest of the week. That was the moment I went all in with my obsession and fascination with Schweitzer Formula.
A burn in the kitchen
My second experience was in the kitchen later that year. I was cooking on our gas stove and burned my hand quite severely. It was a nasty burn that affected several layers and produced a significant amount of pain. I instantly reached for the Schweitzer Formula, which I had in the kitchen pantry just a few feet away.
I was astounded by the pain relief that occurred instantly upon spraying the formula on the burn. The pain started creeping back in after about a minute, although it was less intense, so I reapplied the formula and the pain went away instantly again. I did this once or twice more over the next few minutes, and the pain never returned. By the next day, the wound was significantly better — more than I would have expected. I continued to apply Schweitzer Formula over the next few days and found the wound completely healed in what I was sure was record time. That wound would have taken at least a full 7–10 days to be close to completely healed, but with Schweitzer Formula the time to complete healing was cut down to 3–4 days.
That was the second experience that pulled me deep into the Schweitzer Formula story — and led me to re-starting the dormant bottling operation after decades of shutdown.
